Senior Strategic Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Implement procurement strategies for key materials, finished goods, and components
• Develop long-term procurement plans aligned with production scales
• Identify, evaluate, and build long-term relationships with key suppliers
• Continuously analyze market trends and procurement opportunities
• Select and evaluate raw material suppliers
• Negotiate contract terms and prices, prepare framework agreements
• Manage risks and ensure supply chain stability
• Collaborate with the production department to optimize inventory levels and turnover rates
• Analyze and reduce procurement costs with innovative solutions
• Identify and implement alternative sourcing options
• Plan and coordinate strategic procurement projects
• Prepare regular reports and decision-support proposals for management

Requirements:

• Higher education in economics or engineering (e.g., economics, logistics, supply chain management)
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing company
• Proficient in English (German is an advantage)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Project management experience
• Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central or SAP One)

Additional Information:

• Work location: Office environment (Budapest and/or countryside), occasional travel required
• Reports to the Strategic Procurement Manager
