Our client, a global leader in the automotive sector, is seeking a Legal and Compliance Manager for their Budapest office. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team handling legal, compliance, and business operations, including sales and logistics.

If you have completed your bar exam and have a few years of experience in law and compliance within a corporate environment, this is a great opportunity to grow and develop your expertise in a dynamic workplace.

Please note, that this is a fixed-term position for 1,5 years, with the possibility of extension, though not guaranteed.

Legal

Provide proactive legal counsel to management, focusing on commercial, labor, contractual, data protection, and antitrust matters.
Ensure that company processes adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal guidelines.
Oversee contract management and support in debt collection processes, including pre-dispute reminders, court actions, negotiations, and representation in court.
Supervise ongoing litigation and manage legal proceedings for the company.

Compliance

Manage the Compliance Management System at the entity level, ensuring alignment with internal standards and local legislation.
Conduct compliance risk assessments, monitoring, reporting, and compliance checks, while providing guidance, training, and consultation.
Ensure awareness and adherence to data protection (GDPR) regulations and provide ongoing consultation on GDPR-related matters.
Establish preventive measures for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance, offering consultation on potential risks and suspicious activities.
Continuously analyze and update compliance with local and EU regulations.

Elvárások / Requirements

University degree in Law & completed bar exam required.
2-3 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, with expertise in commercial law, corporate governance, competition, and risk management.
Strong knowledge of business ethics, consumer law, and compliance practices.
Experience with corporate business processes, high integrity, and strong project management skills.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced communication and analytical thinking skills.
Fluent in Hungarian and proficient in English (B2/C1).
B-category driving license.
