What is the purpose of the job?

As a Group Downstream Market Analyst Expert, you will play a crucial role in supporting MOL Group's strategic decisions. Your insights will guide short-term business planning and long-term strategic direction.

What are the tasks?

• Market Analysis: Track and analyze global oil and energy commodity markets daily, staying ahead of current events and price movements.
• Intelligence Reporting: Prepare insightful market intelligence reports at group level, delivered on daily, weekly, and monthly cadences.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to produce accurate price forecasts across various time horizons, including Initial Planning, Business Planning, Project Planning, and Long-term Planning.
• Knowledge Sharing: Support and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions focused on external environment insights.
• Presentations: Regularly present your market price forecasts to key stakeholders, driving informed business decisions.
• Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance forecasting and reporting processes to better meet the needs of our business units.

What are the requirements? 

• University/college degree in finance/economics
• 1-2 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
• Fluent English knowledge (written and verbal)
• Problem solving skills, proactive mindset, “can do” attitude
• Structured thinking, attention to details, ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Highly collaborative attitude, with a very good communication skills
