Senior Specialist Transportation Execution

Your new role 

The role of Sr. Specialist, Transportation Execution, will be a vital part of a global team responsible for ensuring smooth and timely logistics support of our global partner. 

• Transportation Execution:
  1. Book, confirm, and schedule shipments with Corning logistics providers
  2. Daily data entry of milestones and updates for all Corning global ocean and air shipments
  3. Provide track and trace support or escalation support across all modes of transportation: ocean, air, truck, parcel, rail
  4. Manage daily Hot List of critical shipments; communicate updates to key stakeholders
  5. Input and manage key transportation transactional data in ERP system (ex: transit times, order close outs, etc.)
  6. Ensure logistics procedures are being followed throughout the shipment process
  7. Participate and/or host daily/weekly/monthly operational review meetings
  8. Submit air freight approvals (PTAs)

• Exception Management:
  1. Drive Routing Guide compliance through proactive engagement and audits
  2. Submit and management carrier spot quotes as needed
  3. Manage weekly and monthly freight payment exception management 

What you'll need to succeed 

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, logistics, supply chain management, data analytics, or relevant field of study
• 1-3 years logistics experience preferred 
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365
• Communication skills for working with stakeholders, across functions, countries and cultures, both internally and externally
