Senior Application Security Engineer (PHP)

Your new company 

Our partner is an international SW developer company on the field of access- and password management. They are looking for a Senior Application Security Engineer to expand their product security team in Budapest. You will partner with software engineers, product owners and our architect team to ensure security best practices across our products.

Your new role 

• Join a passionate application security team committed to enhancing product security.

• Apply your expertise in security architecture to assist software engineers in developing secure products and services from the ground up.

• Collaborate closely with engineering and platform teams to understand their application security requirements.

• Conduct application security design reviews, engage in threat modelling, and perform code reviews.

• Utilise your penetration testing skills to bolster the security of both internal and external applications and services.

• Address complex server-side application issues written in PHP through debugging and troubleshooting.

• Educate engineering teams and security champions in secure coding and development practices

What you'll need to succeed 

• At least 4-5 years of experience on the field of IT Security
• Previous hands-on experience as Application Security Engineer/Pentester
• Knowledge in application security tooling
• Experience in securing web applications written in PHP
• Experience with penetration testing, threat modelling, testing, and analyzing web applications
• Experience in code- and design reviewing
• Strong English knowledge (both verbal and written)
